Description & Qualifications


UKG continues to enhance its product suite, and this includes developing an application integration strategy encompassing multiple perspectives of software development and delivery. Whether it is an acquisition or a newly developed service, integrating that service into existing CI/CD pipelines, GCP (Google Cloud Platform) native services, Kubernetes deployment, Security pipelines and overall business flows is paramount and the main objective of this role. A successful candidate will have a strong background in application integration coupled with a foundation in GCP services. The role is a hands-on, leadership role combining technical expertise with strategic vision respective to SaaS application architecture. Scalability, Elasticity, Supportability, Resiliency, Delivery and many other strategies will need to be designed and implemented while working with product management teams to ensure that the work is scoped accurately and in accordance with other product objectives. Strategies and designs will need to be presented at multiple levels of the organization so soft skills are critical.

Job Responsibilities:
• Primary architect for product/service integrations
• Primary architect for GCP services in support of not only product integrations/migrations, but for existing enterprise customers as well
• Hands-on Kubernetes (preferably GKE )cluster management with respect to node pools, pod scaling, ingress controllers, public cloud service integrations and other Kubernetes related deployment concerns
• Plan, architect, and guide delivery of business-critical applications developed in the public cloud with a focus on integrating solutions
• Work closely with Product Management teams with respect to feature prioritization, delivery, high level estimates of effort and high and mid-level designs
• Ensure production readiness from multiple aspects including supportability, resilience, reliability, security and several other perspectives of all newly acquired/developed applications
• Collaborate with a variety of domain specific architects to achieve wholistic designs for end-to-end service delivery

In support of our culture, we are adopting a hybrid working model that offers the flexibility of working 2 days at a UKG office, the balance of the week from home. The offices to choose from are in Lowell MA, Atlanta/Alpharetta GA, Branchburg NJ, Cleburne TX or Weston FL.



5+ years of experience in the following:
• GCP Services and migrations to GCP
• Expertise in application integration strategies with respect to SaaS services
• Working knowledge of full stack software development lifecycle stages required to support JavaScript, Java, SQL, and other enterprise languages
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes, preferably GKE
• Demonstrated experience of architecting distributed computing-based solutions in cloud platforms such as Google GCP, AWS, Azure
• Working knowledge of at least one major non-relational database, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Couchbase, DynamoDB, etc.
