We are hiring a Principal Value Stream Manager to support EPIC’s (Engineering, Product, Innovation, and Cloud) Lean-Agile transformation leveraging scaled agile principles. Value Stream Managers aim to accelerate the flow of work safely and strategically through the value stream. Value Stream Managers must balance short-term productivity with the long-term health of the value stream, as well as managing risks and dependencies across teams. VSM’s will also help build the infrastructure and capacity to deliver continuously improving products or services for the lifetime of value streams. With this long view of product or service delivery, VSM’s will need to prioritize the cultivation and maintenance of the value stream itself against delivering new features.

This role will collaborate with senior members of each organization who are dedicated to individual value streams. This individual will meet with stakeholders to facilitate the implementation and launch of newly formed value streams. In addition, VSM’s focus will be to refine existing value streams to maximize business value and alignment.

Essential Duties
• Build UKG's Way of Working leveraging modern, proven Lean-Agile practices in a product-led organization
• Develop and refine practices for Ways of Working (WOW) framework for multiple Value Streams
• Identify train and coach value stream members with the goal of organizing and launching independent value streams
• Orchestrate Agile tooling and procedures within Value Stream atmosphere to maximize customer value
• Facilitate problem solving sessions with implementation-focused value stream managers to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or areas of improvement
• Ensure value streams owners are trained, resourced, supplied and managed to attain strategic intents
• Identify improvement opportunities and perform under minimal supervision to attain results as well as process enhancements
• Perform coaching, provide guidance and execute workshops with multiple value streams at one time while meeting necessary deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of previous release, development, or product management experience, (Solid understanding of Lean-Agile principles preferred)
• 3+ years of professional Lean-Agile Consultation/implementation experience at the Enterprise level
• 5+ years as a technical leader of software engineering or computer professionals
• 5+ years of experience in software development, testing, or operations
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise Lean-Agile practices and methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
• Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
• Professional experience in executive presentation creation and facilitation
• Be a mix of analytical, technical, and operational, but above all, a team player
• Possess fantastic interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experienced with building and coaching empowered product teams in a lean enterprise
• Has run 10 or more training courses for Leaders, Scrum Masters, Product Managers, and other key stakeholders
• Experience with facilitating big-room planning for large value streams (50-125 people)
• Experience with JIRA, Aha!, PowerBI, Aha! is a plus
