Description

As a Payroll Process Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the payroll processes within the organization. Your primary focus will be on streamlining operations, ensuring accuracy, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, design and implement process enhancements, and drive a culture of continuous improvement within the payroll function. Your key responsibilities :

Process Optimization:

- Evaluate existing payroll processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline and optimize payroll operations.
- Stay current with industry best practices and technology to enhance efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processes.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Technology Integration:

- Collaborate with Product and Transformation teams to leverage technology solutions for payroll process automation.
- Identify and implement tools to enhance data accuracy, reduce errors, and improve overall efficiency.

Compliance and Risk Management:

- Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations.
- Ensure that payroll processes comply with local, state, and federal laws.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to payroll operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT departments to align payroll processes with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address payroll-related issues and concerns.

Training and Development:

- Provide training to payroll staff on new processes, tools, and compliance requirements.
- Develop training materials and documentation for payroll procedures.

Continuous Improvement Culture:

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the payroll function.
- Encourage feedback from team members and implement changes based on insights and suggestions.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Project Management or related field.
- Several years of experience in payroll management, process improvement, or related roles.
- Experience in leading process improvement initiatives. 2 – 5 years
- Project management certificate or process improvement such as CAPM, SIX Sigma Yellow, Green Belt, Prince etc. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Experience with payroll software and technology solutions.
- Project management skills.
- Familiarity with BI or Project Management tools
