Description

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will focus on translating data into business intelligence as requested and desired by the business. You will actively engage with the business to understand challenges related to interpreting data, standardizing data sources, and facilitating insightful reporting of business trends and patterns. Qualified candidates possess some experience working with product, service and support projects, conducting business requirement sessions and documenting those details for supportability and readiness or process needs. This position demands strong organizational skills and problem-solving expertise, leveraging current and emerging technologies and managing cross-team dynamics in a fast-paced environment. Excellent technical and analytical skills, communication skills, cross-functional orientation, flexibility, innovative thinking, problem solving, conflict management, and self-motivation are required for success.

Responsibilities
- Engage the functional business teams with a consultative approach and be the data subject matter expert
- Support the development, enhancement, and deployment of an end-to-end data lifecycle management process
- Participate in the application and deployment of data policies as well as the enforcement to include areas such as data ingestion, data engineering, and data management
- Facilitate requirement elaboration of user stories with team members, including process- and data-modeling activities
- Utilize available tools to trend actionable data proactively
- Query and transform data from multiple data sets
- Transform data into information and reports that business managers can interpret, and monitor KPIs and other business metrics using basic statistics and trend analysis
- Good knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Good organizational skills with the proven ability to multitask and to “do what it takes” to get the job done
- Facilitate appropriate communication methods and tracking tools to ensure identification and management of risks, mitigation strategies, plan activities, dependencies, impacts, escalation channels, and detailed project documentation

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with business owners to field requirements and interpret results
- 5+ years of business experience developing, maintaining, and interpreting data, reports, and insights
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in data quality management, information architecture and governance implementation

Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and gain business insights
- Proficiency in Cognos reporting, Power BI visualization to deliver enterprise scale reports and dashboards
- Proficiency in data wrangling, modeling, and data visualization techniques
- Experience interacting with database and file storage systems, Salesforce, Smartsheet, OpenAir or other PSA systems
- Strong analytical, critical and systems thinking required
- Proficiency in DAX and M language preferred
- Strong SQL experience preferred
- Analytics/Visualization tools – Alteryx, R, Python is a plus
