We are seeking a Senior Director of security to lead our Cyber Defense Fusion Center and global incident detection and response Team. You will report to the CISO. As a Senior Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the triage, analysis, and investigations as needed across all business units for the corporate and product-facing sides of the business. You will also be responsible for strategy and building the cyber-Fusion center. Pillars under the cyber-Fusion center include Threat Intelligence, Detection Engineering, Offensive Security, SOC operations and Incident management.


You will have regional security teams reporting to you. These teams follow a follow-the-sun model and are responsible for security monitoring, detection and response, security incident management, detection engineering, and security data science. You will lead security incidents, investigations and handling post-incident reporting in urgent or critical situations.


Ideally, you are someone who has worked in a global setting and has led a sizeable technical cybersecurity team. You are an experienced people leader and will take good care of your stellar team. You can engage in technical discussions to resolve complex problems and explain these problems in simple business terms. You listen actively and think critically. You have an "activist" mindset and a strong desire to challenge the status quo to drive continuous changes and improvements.



Responsibilities:

• Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee all regional teams that analyze and monitor the information assets across UKG. Ensure that the teams are globally consistent and locally adaptable.

• Work with your team to identify, track and remove impediments to improve our visibility, monitoring, and investigation capabilities.

• Lead security incident and data breach investigations and handle post-incident reporting in urgent or critical situations.

• Translate the lessons learned from a security incident or data breach to improve our program or address control deficiencies.

• Use a maturity model to measure the incident detection and response capability and identify capability gaps in all support environments over time.

• Develop roadmaps, set objectives, and choose initiatives that support the goals of improving capability maturity.

• Demonstrate alignment on and execution of functional and team-level goals.

• Develop metrics for reporting purposes and drive specific actions, including measuring and improving operational effectiveness and performance and determining detective control effectiveness and coverage.

• Present at Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings to provide updates on the progress and achievements of the team.

• Build in-house digital forensics and incident response (DFIR), Threat intel and purple teaming capability and formalize relevant processes and procedures.

• Work with your team to proactively identify and improve threat detection deficiencies by utilizing breach and attack simulation (BAS) tools and participating in purple team exercises.

• Participate in cybersecurity due diligence for M&A transactions.

• Gather audit evidence to meet compliance obligations.

• Engage in succession planning by grooming future leaders.

• Coach the team to improve performance and morale.

• Stay current with emerging security technologies and make recommendations for use based on business value.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience

• Minimum ten years of relevant hands-on cybersecurity experience

• Minimum 5+ years of formal people management experience

• Experience working in a global company with teams outside of the United States

• Experience with supporting digital transformation to the cloud

• Ability to communicate effectively in English: write clearly and speak authoritatively to different audiences, including business leaders and engineers

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
