Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) is seeking a Sr. Manager Detection Engineering to work in our Global Security team.
• As the Sr. Manager for UKG's Global Security Detection Engineering team you will lead Cyber Threat use case development, SIEM/SOAR integrations, Incident Response playbook automations, security alerting workflow/ticketing and SOC metrics/dashboard development for executive reporting
• You will manage a team of 8-10 Detection Engineers and Data Scientist and collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC), Threat Intelligence, and Incident Management teams to help develop a pipeline of relevant and real-world threat detections and hunt use cases across complex corporate and product environments

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years in managing/leading cyber security teams (small to mid-size teams) with a proven track record of hiring, onboarding, and professional development
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Foundational understanding of a broad range of security technologies, including EDR, Network based security controls, Public Cloud Security, etc.
• More than 5 years of experience with the following:
o SIEM/SOAR design, deployment, operationalization, and maintenance
o Use case development and correlation search tuning for security event detections
o Knowledge of cyber-attack stages (e.g., reconnaissance, scanning, enumeration, gaining
o access, escalation of privileges, maintaining access, etc.) and/or the MITRE ATT&CK framework and general adversarial/defensive security techniques
o Python programming or similar programming language experience
