UKG is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect with practical experience in aligning Cloud services to business needs as it relates to enabling Kronos SaaS solutions for public cloud delivery. Be a leader in this innovative team architecting solutions in a complex technical landscape in the public cloud which serves as the foundation for our enterprise SaaS offering. This position requires a deep technical background and offers the candidate a challenging, dynamic, and rewarding environment to work in.
Responsibilities:
• Design complex, highly available global computing environments that enable Kronos SaaS enterprise solutions
• Create infrastructure solutions that satisfy customer requirements, cost-efficiency objectives and security standards
• Provide guidance and direction on architecture standards and technologies for enabling systems performance qualities for service reliability, availability, scalability, security, and supportability
• Collaborate with product architecture, product management and program management teams to establish best practices and drive delivery of end-to-end solution
• Create and maintain roadmap for cloud services platform staying ahead of technology advancements supporting SaaS enterprise solution
• Support requests from Kronos leadership and product management to provide estimates and strategies for Cloud expansion and integration of additional offerings based on business roadmaps
• Assess, design and develop Cloud solutions that support business goals, working across Kronos business and technical teams as appropriate
• Prepare internal and customer facing artifacts to help communicate, in business language, information about Kronos Cloud solutions and security
• Participate in the development, advocacy and adoption of deployment best practices leveraging tools and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency
• Maintain and advance deep technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights, and share within the technical community
• Advocate and educate on cloud platform solutions with internal customers across sales and professional services organizations
• Be a Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team to remove key blockers

Qualifications

• Must have 10-15 years of experience building and supporting enterprise infrastructure services in progressively responsible technical roles
• Broad technical understanding of cloud architectures, technologies and service-oriented models, including cloud operations management, DevOps, applications, compute services, virtualization and extended networking domains, Google Cloud experience preferred
• Able to design large scale cloud infrastructures to support enterprise SaaS operations
• Strong technical foundation in infrastructure and operations including HA/DR; Must have a good contextual knowledge of applications and data
• Practical experience managing architecture standards and change governance, as well as familiar with architecture frameworks (i.e. TOGAF) and how they may be applied, integration with IDP and Authentication protocols is a plus
• Experience designing to achieve requirements for compliance, security and privacy (SOC1/2, ISO27001, GDPR, etc.)
• Management of infrastructure (patching, upgrading, release strategy in the cloud), load balancing, firewalls and network protocols are a must
• Highly collaborative with an ability to influence and reach consensus, ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience working with off-shore and distributed teams
