A Senior Business Analyst at UKG is an experienced and essential member of a cutting-edge agile team, responsible for the delivery of functionality of our innovative cloud based Human Capital Management software solution. They are the role model for what an exemplary BA looks like at UKG and are able to take on the most complex features and problems. This individual is an analytical thinker with domain knowledge and strong customer focus, who is accountable for researching, analyzing and documenting clear and actionable business requirements in a way that they can be distributed across one or more development teams, to incrementally deliver the desired functionality.

This role requires talent and passion for collaboration and will be working with skilled Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Product Managers in creating high-quality software for customers and the organization in his/her product area. Skills essential to this role are strong analysis, organization, written and verbal communication, ability to grasp new domains quickly and understand the upstream and downstream effects, along with a disciplined approach to the processes (escalations, JIRA, documentation…) specific to UKG Inc.

• Owns definition and direction of complex features and enhancements that have cross domain dependencies
• Defines and documents stories and conditions of acceptance with other stakeholders input including UX Designers, Developers and QA.
• Validate proposed value with customers and prospects using research, prototypes, and designs
• Participate in roadmap building sessions and dialogue with Product Managers/Domain Owners
• Helps ensure customers and the organization is ready for new product releases by providing learning content and material and leading knowledge transfer events as needed. Work with rest of the organization to understand opportunities in knowledge gaps and serviceability needs.
• Drive features through the development process by working with engineering, prioritizing functional requirements, making appropriate scope trade offs, and ensuring completed capability satisfies customers needs in a timely manner.
• Learns customer needs by driving customer & internal stakeholder meetings and researching industry trends. Recommends potential features based on their knowledge of the customer and market with supporting business case.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Software/Product Business Analyst Role
• Strong analytical skills to understand business requirements and decompose into more granular level requirements.
• Ability to work independently to coordinate and implement solutions to complex functional issues.
• Proven track record of delivering features in a timely fashion and with quality
• Think imaginatively and intuitively while quickly grasping and synthesizing new ideas.
• Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities.
• 5+ years experience in Agile or Lean Software Development environment such as Kanban or Scrum
• Proven experience successfully working within a team and managing a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
• Experience in thought leadership presentations
• Ensures active participation of all team member in meetings. Able to guide individuals with different personalities and styles to a common outcome. Creates an inclusive environment.
• A deep understanding of multiple products areas within the suite, including but not limited to product functionality, business flows, data set-up, integrations with other systems, etc. Understanding of market trends and what it means to our customers, users and the direction of the product.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Functional and technical knowledge of HCM, Payroll or Tax systems strongly desired.
• Certifications in HR, PR and Tax related fields (e.g. CPP, FPC, CPA, PHR, SHRM-CP, CPP)
