Description & Qualifications


At UKG security is at the core of everything we do. In the continuous pursuit of improving our application and infrastructure security, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Security Research & Development team. This team does cutting-edge work to build out the security technologies, software integrations and security frameworks that are used throughout our organization.

• Builds software applications and security technology using knowledge of programming languages and delivery platforms.
• Develops supports, maintains major features and implements complex components of a project module.
• Works as a fully contributing team member, under broad supervision/ guidance.
• Collaborate with members of the team to solve challenging engineering tasks on time and with high quality
• Helps mentor other team members and software developers on best practices and techniques.
• Work productively in a Devops environment using Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platforms (GCP)
• Actively communicate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles to meet the team goals
• Ability to work independently to coordinate and implement solutions to complex technical issues.
• Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues that are escalated to the engineering team.


•4+ years’ experience as a key developer on major software projects.
•Experience programming with Python, Ruby, Java or Go
•Experience working with SQL databases such as MySQL or Postgres
•Experience working with Linux systems and general familiarity with terminal, scripting, ssh etc.
•Experience working in a major cloud environment (AWS, GCP or Azure)
•Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and/or GCP is a plus
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; equivalent experience.
