Description & Qualifications


UKG is looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for working with product managers, analysts, architects and engineers to develop, test and implement software solutions. We are looking for someone who can partner with other engineers, architects, and leadership to develop, test, build, and deploy coding solutions to meet business objectives. The Senior Software Engineers at UKG are expected to be results-oriented, have knowledge of new and legacy technologies, have knowledge of the relevant platforms and environments, and be familiar with business process, functions and data within their domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure solutions.


* Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
* 3-5 or more years’ experience engaging with software/test engineers on enterprise level software development projects
* 3 -5 years’ experience with OOP, Data Structures and Algorithms
* Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solutions
* Experience with the development of API’s, Web Services and Forms development
* 3 – 5 years’ experience coding in a functional or OOP language (Java or .Net development)
* 3 – 5 years’ experience working with Mongo or other NoSQL database solutions a plus
* Understanding of Agile or Lean Software Development experience such as Kanban or Scrum
* Ability to successfully work within a team and manage a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Positive team player attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Self-motivated and willing to “do what it takes” to get the job done
* High degree of organizational skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance
