UKG is looking to hire a Sr. Software Engineer to join our extremely talented Product Development team! As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be part of our continued improvement and growth of our HR and Payroll Software Solution.

This Sr. Software Engineer position requires excellent analytical skills and experience in all the phases of Software Development lifecycle especially in automation and QA. You will be the gatekeeper to ensure the quality of the product that is shipped to the UKG customers. Some of the technologies used by our team are GCP, JAVA, Kafka, Big Query, Dataflow, Cloud functions and Apache Beam. We are looking for a passionate engineer who values quality, and truly enjoys what they do. The qualified candidate for this position is someone who has a can-do attitude and is an innovative thinker.

• Develop, and maintain software applications in highly distributed data processing systems.
• Design and develop offline tooling, automation, test, and simulation platforms.
• Develop and execute test plans and test cases with a strong emphasis on using code to solve technical challenges and shorten the test cycle through automation.
• Work in an agile environment and collaborate with Developers, Business Analyst, Architects and leads to ensure the quality of the product.
• Foster the culture of delivering quality software in a timely manner and continuously improve the development process.
• Identify and develop automation opportunities in the release and validation process.
• Assist the team with shifting products over CI/CD pipelines and help to set the quality standard with the team.
• Present and explain technical concepts to a wide variety of stakeholders and end-users.


• Experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, regression testing and designing test architecture.
• 3+ years of experience as a QA engineer, Software test engineer or Quality automation engineer.
• Experience with working in Agile environment and CI/CD driven testing culture.
• Experience with programming skills – Java, C# etc.
• Experience with public cloud – GCP, AWS, Azure etc.
• Experience in testing DB (SQL/ NoSQL) objects.
• Proficiency in writing clean, modular code using proven design patterns
• Foster the culture of delivering quality software in a timely manner and continuously improve the development process.
