UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) is looking for a Senior software QA Developer to join its world-class engineering team in Toronto for its latest Cloud platform, UKG Dimensions. You will play a key role in the development of our SaaS offering, in a highly collaborative, agile environment. This role provides the opportunity to:

• A demonstrated ability to deliver quality product releases on schedule using risk
analysis and defect containment practices, test automation and continuous
improvement initiatives
• Responsible and accountable for the quality of the product for the project
• Setup/configure/maintain automated testing environments in a continuous
integration setting
• Maintains and improves the testing lab and testing infrastructure (including
tools, scripts, etc.).
• Help deploy and troubleshoot test environments
• Collaborate with other team members and all members of the geographically
dispersed team to ensure the appropriate implementation of functional
requirements
• Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve bugs
• Work in a team atmosphere to perform special testing activities when required
• Stays in touch with the software testing community and brings best industry
practices to the team
• Continuously improve upon the productivity and efficiency of our automated
testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques
• Transform manual test documentation into robust, efficient automated test
scripts
• Participate in the elaboration of test documentation, execute tests, and monitor
results using application lifecycle tools
• Review business and functional requirements documents in order to create
appropriate test documentation
• Ability to describe UI behavior in terms of correct technical implementation and
customer user scenarios

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree and 3+ years’
• experience in Software Quality Assurance (Java / Selenium) or other related
disciplines with direct involvement in automated testing of web applications
• Strong background in functional testing and software quality best practices
• Solid experience in defect management (creating, follow-up and validation of
defect reports)
• Exposure to Protractor, JavaScript, Eclipse, Jenkins, Linux, JIRA, HP ALM, HTML5
• Familiar with technologies like Nginx, tomcat, PostgreSQL, and Jenkins
• Experience with version control tools (GIT, Bitbucket)
• Practical knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes/VM/Jenkins
• Process-oriented with high attention to detail and good follow-through
• Experience with testing tools such as JUnit, Selenium, mocking frameworks, etc
• Ability to write SQL Queries
• Familiarity with tools used to automate the deployment of an enterprise
software solution to the cloud, Jenkins, Concourse, Ansible, etc
• Good experience in test management tools like ALM, and JIRA
Nice to have:
• Experience with Java, Python, etc. is a plus
