Description & Qualifications

As a Software QA Engineer, you’ll be embedded on a development team of between 5-10 people, where you can have fun finding bugs and writing test automation to ensure the long-term quality of our products. You will also get to work directly with Software Engineers, Business Analysts, and even our Product Users in a highly collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to grow as a software tester and help instill in others a passion for quality enterprise development.

•In your team’s daily stand-up meeting, you brag about that big bug you found and walk a developer through it to get it fixed
•Before a story is ready to be tested, you create and document test cases for other engineers to follow with manual or automated tests
•Exercise your C# or Java knowledge by writing some automation using the latest in novel test case frameworks.
•A developer may come to you wanting you to review their unit tests, and you can suggest additional test cases that they might need to cover
•Exploratory testing: this is when you get to let loose on the application–go crazy and try to break it
•Work with our seasoned test architects to develop and advance in your career. We can train you to get better with our in-house training in white box and black box testing
•Finally, you can demo your story to the Business Analysts (BA) and get it closed because you thought of every little detail

•2–5+ years experience writing and testing code in an object-oriented language, ideally C#. (Java and C++ are also accepted, but must be able to ramp up to C# easily)
•Some automation framework knowledge
•Ability to write intermediate SQL code
•Knowledge of testing techniques/methodologies and how to apply them (white box, equivalence class partitioning, pairwise, state transition, boundary value, decision table)
•Understanding of the principles of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
•Testing in an agile environment preferred
•Knowledge/familiarity with a testing framework like Nightwatch or Selenium is preferred
