UKG is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to help our team define test strategies, develop, and execute automated/manual test scripts, and help ensure the delivery of robust, high quality product releases.About the role:
• Support design, development, and testing of enterprise availability and supportability platform.
• Develop, write, and review product lifecycle deliverables, including product backlog, requirements specifications, sprint plans, risk analyses and traceability documentation.
• Develop and execute software test strategies and perform functional black box and white box, GUI, integration, system, and regression tests.
• Document formal verification/validation plans, protocols, and reports.
• Perform risk, cybersecurity, and usability assessments.
• Track and triage defects.
• Configure and validate software tools for product design, development, and testing.
• Maintain and improve continuous integration and testing environments.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Quality personnel performing Design Verification and Validation activities or other quality functions.
Qualifications
About You:Basic Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience as a Software or Quality Engineer or Software Engineer with coding skills in C# preferably
• Experience working in a cloud environment (SaaS, preferably GCP)
• Understanding of test automation, test tool creation, automation frameworks
• Experience testing REST-based API preferably using REST Assured (2+ years)
• Hands-on experience with UI Automation using Selenium (2+ years)
• Understanding of design and coding with an emphasis on building test automation and tools
• Knowledge of full software development life cycle, QA methodology, tools and software testing standards
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or applicable development work experience
• Shows creativity and initiative to improve test coverage and effectiveness and can troubleshoot in complex environments
• Experience working in a Linux environment utilizing virtual machines
