UKG is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to join our Global Security Integration Office (GSIO). The integration office provides leadership and organization to integrate key operational and strategic security initiatives while keeping the big picture in mind. This role requires thorough knowledge and experience with all processes and phases of the project management lifecycle and integration management.

Qualified candidates possess broad experience managing technical and critical cross-divisional initiatives. This position requires strong skills in; communications, organization, problem-solving and managing team-dynamics, while working with current and emerging technologies.

Excellent program and project integration and management skills, team orientation, flexibility, innovative thinking, and self-motivation are required for success in our matrix environment.

Creating and fostering strong relationships and partnering with our business units to integrate our strategic security objectives is the key to your success in this role. Individuals with strong integration, technical program and project management experience within a matrixed organization will be given the highest consideration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partners with business owners, team members and other key personnel across various departments to plan, develop and manage key operational, technical and strategic security initiatives.
• Able to independently create complex initiative and risk management plans by analyzing the business needs and understanding how to partner and prepare for software delivery and/or process changes.
• Ensure initiative integration plans and related activities support key organization business objectives and major deliverables.
• Must be action driven and can drive teams to deliver their goals while maintaining positive relationships.
• Facilitate appropriate communication methods and tracking tools to ensure identification and management of risks, mitigation strategies, plan activities, dependencies, impacts, escalation channels, financial budget and detailed initiative documentation.
• Identify appropriate resources for definition and validation requirements / specifications within initiative scope.
• Serves as primary point of contact for the Initiative Integration team.
• Resolve issues to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction expectations.
• Manage Statement of Work (3rd party vendor) through project lifecycle to ensure all contracted deliverables have been achieved.
• Responsible for overseeing and consolidating overall initiative status reporting to leadership.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and prioritize work requests for effective resource management.
• Contribute to, support, and promote identification of best practices, and use of all project management tools, techniques, and methodologies within the GSIO team.
• Responsible for adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
• Participate in regular team meetings / activities, as appropriate.
• Support and assist team members with process improvements.
• Support the performance review process for each team member as needed.


Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Active Project Management Certification is required (PgMP, PMP, PMI-ACP or a *CAPM with >5 yrs project experience) *CAPMs meeting experience qualification, will be required to obtain PMP within the first year of hire.
• 5+ years’ experience in Mid - Senior Project Management - experienced in successfully leading and managing multiple medium to large size key operational and strategic projects, with mid to high complexity and impact
• Experience in securing resources needed to effectively complete project assignments & tasks in a matrix organization
• Proven collaborative leadership with effective negotiation, interpersonal and partnering skills
• Seasoned project planning skills with the ability to handle large workload, the ability to anticipate required tasks & milestones, and facilitate the activities of dynamic, dispersed workgroups
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Working knowledge of agile and project management lifecycle (PMI Methodology), tools and techniques
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SmartSheet

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• 5+ years of technical project management, security integration or compliance related projects is a plus
• Experience managing projects in both Agile (Kanban and Scrum) and Waterfall frameworks preferred
• Working knowledge of JIRA and collaborative project management tools
• Clarizen experience or another PPM is a plus
• Business analysis methodologies and experience
• Software development lifecycle and/or technical/infrastructure planning, monitoring and controlling

Interpersonal Skills:

• Must be comfortable handling sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
• Comfortable with change – know how and when to be effective, successful change agents
• Proven leadership with effective negotiation, interpersonal and partnering skills
• Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills
• Prior experience managing virtual projects and team members a plus
• High degree of organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
• Team oriented for collaboration
• Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and ambiguous requirements
• Strong, effective decision-making skills
• Ability to determine the right resources needed to effectively perform job assignments


Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (MIS, Business Degree, Project Management, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience in a business or technical discipline

A certification in project management (PgMP, PMP, PMI-ACP or a CAPM with >5 yrs project experience)
Travel Requirement: <10%
