Job Summary:

You infuse User-Centered Design into our Products, connecting our users with the value they seek and elevating our internal UX practice. You collaborate with Product Development partners to deliver experiences that are high-value, buildable and scalable. You uphold and advance our Brand and Usability standards, and ensure our products remain compelling in the current Human Capital Management (HCM) industry. You ensure an understanding of our users’ needs and contexts that are based on user research practices, not opinion. You drive the discovery, documentation, and clear communication of complex user processes, while growing your knowledge of our products, users and the HCM industry. You enrich your team and our UX community with your expertise and practical experience.

In this role, you will be supporting the Payroll domain for UKG Pro.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• Work with cross-functional product teams to ensure proper implementation of the product vision, focusing always on simplicity and ease of use;
• Partnering with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering to define product requirements, and staying engaged with current product roadmaps. Leading product-level design discussions, workshops, decision-making, and documentation.
• Providing product teams with clear and actionable design guidance for complex features in the form of workflows, sketches at a wide range of fidelity, mockups, wireframes, prototypes, etc.
• Articulating a design vision for improvements to our HCM suite, grounded in sound user research and practical technical awareness, in alignment with overall business priorities.
• Upholding the principles and standards of our Design System in your practice, while contributing to its growth and evolution.
• Basing your design decisions on quantitative and qualitative data from user research with our customers.
Offering your product, process and practice experience as a resource to elevate other design practitioners in our UX community.


Required Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of how the user-centered design process drives design thinking and implementation;
• Adept using design and prototyping applications such as Sketch, Invision, Axure, etc. - and eagerly learning new tools and techniques.
• 5+ years of experience as a User Experience Designer, Product Designer for Enterprise applications (not just websites or mobile apps).
• Proven record architecting and designing responsive, mobile-first web controls and components that meet usability and accessibility web standards and best practices.
• Communicating clearly, verbally and in writing, in-person and virtual.
• Storytelling and presentation skills to compellingly and engagingly share your designs with teams and the UX community.
• Adept at crafting experiences for multiple delivery platforms (responsive browser, mobile app, etc.)
• A design Portfolio clearly demonstrating your practice and process.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Direct experience with product Localization and Accessibility.
• Experience within the HCM industry
• Facility with various front-end technologies and frameworks (such as Angular, React, Ember, Material, Bootstrap, Ionic)
• Experience contributing to the development and adoption of Design Systems, Pattern Libraries and Style Guides.
