Description & Qualifications


As an Engineer in our Collaboration and Developer Tools value stream you will play a crucial role in optimizing our project management and workflow systems, primarily Jira, Confluence and Aha!. This role requires a strong understanding of Jira administration, customization, and integration with other tools as well as general development/scripting skills.
Jira and other Tooling Administration:
• Manage and administer Jira, Confluence and Aha! instances, ensuring optimal performance, security, and customization
• Coordinate and perform Jira and Confluence upgrades and patches
• Configure and customize Jira workflows, screens, fields, and permissions to align with business processes
• Implement and manage Jira schemes and configurations
• Integrate Jira with other tools and applications to ensure seamless data flow
• Develop and maintain custom scripts to automate repetitive tasks, streamline processes, and integrate Jira with other tools and systems
• Utilize scripting languages such as Python or Groovy to enhance the functionality of Jira and related tools
• Troubleshoot and debug scripts to ensure reliability and efficiency
Technical Support:
• Provide technical support to end-users, addressing Jira-related issues and guiding them on best practices
• Collaborate with IT and support teams to resolve any system or integration issues promptly
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Jira configurations, customizations, and scripting solutions
• Develop user guides and training materials to assist team members in utilizing Jira effectively
*This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days/week in the office in our Lowell, MA office*


Basic qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Jira Administrator, with a deep understanding of Jira configurations and workflows
• Strong scripting skills, with proficiency in languages such as Groovy or Python
• Experience in automating tasks and processes to improve overall efficiency
Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with version control systems (preferably GitHub) and integration with Jira
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong customer service mindset
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
