About the role:
UKG is looking for a Software Engineer to join its world-class Payment Services Engineering team. This position is responsible for software development in multi-application, multi-server, and hosted environments. He or she will participate in all facets of software and system development life cycle which includes developing, designing, testing, maintaining testable software or systems according to the needs of the users. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop innovative solutions to maximize performance, scalability, and security
• Research, design, implement, and manage software programs
• Identify areas for modification in existing programs and then develop these modifications
• Developing quality assurance procedures
• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
• Participate in code reviews and provide quality and reliability-related feedback
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis for system-related issues and identifying and resolving problems to maintain best functionality
• Collaborate with other developers, UX designers, business users, product owner and product manager
• Maintaining a can-do-attitude while effectively communicating verbally and written form
• Adapt to dynamic environments with rapidly changing priorities

Qualifications

About you:
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience with 2-3 years’ experience in DevOps
• Strong experience working with continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Strong drive to automate everything as well as initiative-taking with continuous improvement mindset and willingness to get the job done
• Knowledge of SDLC/STLC
• Good knowledge of test design techniques and test case reviews
• Good experience in SQL server and writing SQL queries
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to manage and balance multiple deliverables concurrently in an environment with shifting priorities
• Good at problem solving with excellent documentation and communication skills
• Process-oriented with high attention to detail and good follow-through
• Experience testing using various platforms
• Experience in SaaS & Cloud based application testing
• Familiarity with source control systems (GIT, CI/CD)
