UKG is seeking a Software Engineer In Test (SW QA Engineer) to join our Device Management Team in our Lowell Headquarters. We are a highly collaborative group of professional Software Engineers working in an Agile environment. Our team develops enterprise software that integrates intelligent devices with our workforce management systems.

An individual in this role may have the following responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain UI, API and Hardware Test Automation
• Decompose requirements and user scenarios into test scenarios and test cases
• Contribute to estimation of work and create test plan that aligns with project deliverables
• Identify test data requirements and generate data sets for testing
• Work with development teams to instrument code for manual and/or automated testing
• Coordinates with team to eliminate redundancy, ensuring high coverage with optimal effort
• Creates and maintains traceability matrix using test management tools
• Learn the domain of the application and become a subject matter expert for assigned task areas
• Keep abreast with latest technologies and test techniques exchanging ideas and effectively communicating the need for additional knowledge
• Analyze defects, understand root cause, work with the development and Architects

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent years of experience.
-2-5 years of experience as a Software or Quality Engineer with coding skills in Java (required)
-2+ years of experience testing REST-based API (required) preferably using REST Assured
-Hands-on experience with UI Automation using Selenium. (2+ years)
-Hands-on experience with BDD framework – Cucumber (2+ years)
-Experience with Android Device Automation using UI Automator or any other automation framework preferred
Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and TestNG
-Understanding of relational databases.
Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment
-Experience with Jenkins or TeamCity
