About the role:
We are looking for a consummate Team Player for our role as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). Where you will design and develop automation solutions, write code for streamlined execution, and implement new processes/tools to increase our quality and speed to market.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• The QA Automation Engineer will collaborate with the Agile scrum team on its deliverables
• Implement test automation for the next generation SaaS Application in a fast-paced, agile environment, using Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, & Continuous Deployment concepts
• Transform manual test documentation into robust, efficient automated test scripts and team up with the QA resources to increase Automation coverage
• Be a key contributor in the design and development of automation solutions, interpret results, and communicate on a regular basis, resulting in quick resolutions to any quality concerns
• Setup/configure/maintain automated testing environments in a CI/CD setting
• Develop test documentation, execute tests, and monitor results using application lifecycle tools
• Continuously improve upon the productivity and efficiency of both our manual & automated testing efforts using innovative tools/techniques
• Adhere to and promote standards for test development best practices
• Should have good knowledge and experience of functional testing, automation, reporting defects along with root cause, troubleshooting skills
• Review business and functional requirements documents to create appropriate test documentation
• Provide complete testing coverage for areas of responsibility
• Ensure a high-quality user experience

Qualifications

About you:
Basic Qualifications:
• The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years’ experience within enterprise-scale software quality assurance
• Working in a fast-paced Agile SDLC environment delivering high quality, high value features to the market; sprint/sprint and release/release
• Experience with software test automation tool(s) like Selenium Web Driver, Java, and Junit
• Solid experience in functional testing and software best practices (TDD, BDD)
• Experience in API testing or Web Services Testing using Rest Assured, SOAP, UI, Postman
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Rest based services and React Framework based front end testing environments
• Experience in testing or developing SAAS/cloud products (AWS, GCP)
• Experience with MSSQL Database or equivalent experience
• Ability to write code in an object-oriented programming language such as Java
• Experience with Gherkin Syntax preferred
• Good at problem-solving with excellent documentation and communication skills
• Shows creativity and initiative to improve test coverage and effectiveness
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to utilize data to drive decisions
