Business Development Representative
We are currently seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our US Sales team. This role is a collaborative position with responsibility for generating sales pipeline through targeted, outbound prospecting activities into a set of assigned accounts as well as handling inbound leads. The BDR is an extension of the Sales team with a main focus of assessing demand, identifying, developing and creating new business opportunities for the Sales Executive.
• Create and prioritize strategic / target account lists within defined territory with support from sales
• Leverages strong prospecting and business development skills to generate incremental revenue opportunities thru scouring all account activity, outbound calling/prospecting
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of UKG products and solutions to enhance the target’s knowledge of UKG and communicate the value of UKG solution to generate interest and additional meetings
• Partners with the sales team to promote UKG’s business initiatives and to enhance the customer or prospects knowledge of UKG’s products, programs, and services
• Employs expert probing skills to expand contacts and define new product requirements within a defined account set, while increasing pipeline and teaming with field sales
• Maintains a high number of outbound calls and targeted emails and other daily activities to increase number of live conversations per day calling into assigned accounts
• Provides qualified lead information to the sales organization to assist in account progression and sales pipeline acceleration


• 3 plus years previous business development experience prospecting and cold calling, and/or sales experience in a high technology environment preferred
• BA/BS Preferred
Skills & Competencies:
• Full understanding of the industries UKG sells into
• Comfortable having business conversations with C-level titles to line-of-business professionals that deliver value
• Utilizes all pertinent tools to improve prospecting success. (LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo, Twitter, Instagram
• Proficient using
• Strong business development, prospecting, sales and/or marketing background
• Familiar with various sales methodologies (Sandler, Holden, etc.)
Must to be able to work a West Coast hours shift if on East or Central Time Zone
