Description & Requirements


1. The individual will develop reports, manage and support the Cognos BI environment
2. Administering, configuring, tuning, and maintaining Cognos non-prod and Production environments
3. Working with Cognos developers, IBM support, database administrators, and other IT operations resources to troubleshoot issues and ensure the system is working properly
4. Performing activities, such as creating reports, deployments, managing user access, monitoring schedules, and monitoring overall system
5. Define and follow deployment best practices
6. Provides inputs/updates to architect, team lead, project manager as required on design, planning, effort, risk management, status reports
7. Independently performs problem determination and resolution in the production environment issues and provides production support as needed both during and after normal business hours.
8. Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.


1. Master/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Technology with 6+ years of Cognos develop/admin experience
2. Minimum of 3+ years of Cognos BI Administration.
3. Minimum of 2+ years of proficiency in developing and maintaining Cognos Reports
4. Knowledge on Cognos licensing and meta data management
5. Admin Experience on PowerBI or Alteryx is good to have
6. Good understanding of data warehousing concepts is required.
7. Interest in implementing new technologies and methodologies
8. Result driven mindset and ability to communicate and develop strong working relationships with people at all levels in a global environment.
