Overview

UKG is seeking an outgoing, customer-focused individual to join Global Technology & Testing Services (GTTS) as a Technology Consultant. The Technology Consultant is the Strategic Technical Advisor (STA) for Global Delivery Services whose primary role is to guide UKG customers as they implement the various SaaS solutions offered by this world class leader in the Workforce Management space. The TC works with functional, technical, and business subject matter experts during the implementation, guiding and advising in all technical matters. As the STA on the project, the TC keeps a keen eye on the product road map and the ever-changing technical commercial landscape. The role of the TC requires exceptional consulting and communication skills and a wide breadth of knowledge on the technical areas relevant to the modern enterprise. The TC is always learning, acquiring new functional product knowledge and expertise, and is driven to help UKG customers realize the ROI that motivated them to choose the UKG solution.

Responsibilities

As a Technology Consultant at UKG you will be assigned to multiple implementation projects which you will provide support to in several areas such as: timekeeping terminal connectivity and migration, single-sign-on (SSO) implementation and troubleshooting, Mobile application features such as location services and Geofencing, performance testing, and development of automated business process workflows. You will be the go-to consultant on the project team whenever difficult problems are encountered, and you will be expected to use your problem-solving abilities as you work through issues with Global Support engineers, product Subject Matter Experts, and other cross-functional teams.

Lead technical workshops and working sessions for customers.

Assist customers and project team members with system issues during solution implementation.

Work with UKG cross functional teams to resolve technical problems that originate from a variety of sources such as local infrastructure, software configuration, connectivity and others.

Advise and consult on the various aspects of the implementation and use of a SaaS-based WFM system, such as:

Single Sign-on and related authentication topics

Mobile Device Management and location technology

Timekeeping Terminals (clocks) – connectivity, configuration, and management

Customer infrastructure and end-user devices

Performance and end-user experience testing

Qualifications

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following credentials, abilities, characteristics, and skills:

Undergraduate degree: preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technology field.

Three years or more professional consulting experience or other customer-facing role supporting or implementing enterprise software.

Experience with Workforce Management applications a strong plus.

Engaging: willing to freely share feedback, thoughts, comments, and able to collaborate well with others and provide value in a team setting.

Motivated to be a Subject Matter Expert in multiple technical and functional areas.

A strong interest in technical consulting and a strong desire to help customers and colleagues with technical problems.

Aptitude, ability to learn new technology and application functionality.

Communication skills: able to clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally and through a variety of different mediums; responsive to customers and colleagues.

Strong problem-solving skills: ability to break down complex problems and develop solutions.

Strong organization and time-management skills: ability to work with multiple stakeholders and deliver on commitments; ability to balance competing priorities.

Proactive: eager to initiate conversations and take action versus waiting to be asked or told.
