The industry marketing team at UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) is seeking a skilled and collaborative Industry Marketing Manager. This is a challenging and action-oriented role in which the candidate will assist UKG in driving growth in various segments of the Services and Distribution market including but not limited to: logistics and distribution, financial services, staffing, property management, janitorial companies, call centers, professional services, and general business.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes the initiative to understand and become an expert in the industries they’ll be supporting – along with learning how human capital management and workforce management solutions can help organizations thrive. A multi-tasker with great attention to detail and a focus on quality output. Setting and managing expectations diplomatically comes naturally, as does meeting deadlines.

This is an individual contributor role who will work closely with the Industry Director and team to execute the go-to-market plan for the Services & Distribution vertical.

Core Responsibilities:
• Use a variety of sources to analyze relevant business situations/trends and proactively recognize, evaluate, and develop messages to address key business issues, drivers, and growth opportunities
• Collaborate with management, sales, and customers to develop and execute programs, events, and initiatives that support industry goals
• Enable the Services and Distribution sales team to be successful
o Assist individual sales executives preparing for customer or prospect engagement
o Develop and deliver impactful training materials and programs
o Create easy to use and meaningful sales tools including collateral, case studies, presentations, etc.
• Develop industry specific campaigns/programs and messaging, working with field marketing, demand generation, sales, and other key stakeholders
• Create content plans and assets that include industry thought leadership and specific industry messaging in support of various campaigns/programs
• Attend select trade shows, annual sales training, and occasional customer site visits
• Work cross-functionally with departments including but not limited to sales, presales, services, creative, field marketing, corporate marketing, corporate communications, public/analyst relations, and partners

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing (or related)
• Experience working in the software industry is preferred and/or consulting to the services and distribution industry
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and an ability to work and collaborate cross-functionally
• Self-starter who can identify problems and proactively suggest then execute solutions with minimal hands on supervision
• Proven track record of creating relevant, industry specific content
• Must have strong presentation skills
• Outstanding attention to detail; must be highly organized
• Customer marketing experience is a plus
• Strong leadership, influence, and interpersonal skills required
• Flexibility to travel 25%
