Sr. Manager, Software Engineering, UKG, Inc., Alpharetta, Georgia (Hybrid Position)

Lead a software engineering team responsible for building and scaling UKG’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform. Will provide both high-level strategy and hands-on execution while managing the IAM platform and executing the company’s business strategy. Specific duties include:

• Building and scaling the IAM platform to serve thousands of customers with millions of users.
• Managing a cross-functional team of Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Platform Leads/Architects who install, configure, and support authentication, provisioning, and Identity Management systems.
• Driving the consolidation of UKG’s IAM assets to a single ubiquitous platform that will serve products across the Company.
• Setting the vision and strategy for UKG’s product IAM platform and driving its execution.
• Resolving challenging authentication and authorization problems by supervising the creation of scalable, performant, resilient, and secure services that are the gateway to our workplace offerings.
• Overseeing the development, management, and integration of single sign-on (SSO) platforms as well as directory architecture and management.
• Leading the development of IAM solutions to support UKG’s product suite.
• Identifying complex business processes and internal controls that mitigate risks and related opportunities for internal automation.
• Working with appropriate resources for maintenance, patching, troubleshooting, upgrades, and future development of every component of the IAM platform and tools.
• Shaping and executing strategy for technical products through a roadmap and tight collaboration with product management teams.
• Overseeing the migration of applications from legacy single sign-on (SSO) environments to the UKG SSO environment without any downtime.
• Understanding the business requirements of cross-functional teams by having feasibility discussions and design discussions and offering them SSO solutions.
• Successfully collaborating with partners throughout the company to drive IAM platform adoption.
• Communicating technical topics to clients and engineering teams, particularly the importance of IAM as a vital part of UKG’s product suite.

Qualifications

Requirements:
• Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, IT or a closely related field and 6 years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on Identity and Access Management or a Master’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, IT or a closely related field and 4 years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on Identity and Access Management.
• 4 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) working with the following:
o Design, implement and support Identity and federation solutions including Sailpoint IdentityIQ, IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM), Okta, Saviynt, Active Directory and Azure AD tools;
o User lifecycle management, federated identity systems, directory services, role-based access control, multi-factor authentication and SSO capabilities;
o Authentication and authorization standards (e.g., SAML, OAUTH, OIDC, LDAP, PKI, SCIM);
o Programming or scripting languages including Java, PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, Bash, SQL, HTML/CSS; and
o Multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including working with Agile/DevOps tools such as JIRA, Bamboo, Confluence, GitHub.

Note: This is a hybrid position working 3 days/week from the UKG office in Alpharetta, GA and 2 days/week from home.
