UKG is seeking a talented Applied Cryptography Specialist to join our internal Global Security Research & Architecture team chartered to create solutions for security challenges. The goal of this team is to make sure that the code and infrastructure of our family of enterprise software applications is secure.

As a member of the Global Security Research & Architecture security team, the Applied Cryptography Specialist will assist in planning, documenting, coordinating, and implementing recommended key management and secret management solutions. Will lead and foster team work on numerous projects that the team supports with secret management configurations and maintenance.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• Develop expertise over the acceptable use and issuance of symmetric and asymmetric key management practices.
• Be able to function as a team lead for numerous projects, coordinate required work and ensure that team members in remote locals have the proper documentation, secret material, and time to complete related project tasks.
• Develop expertise in Secret Management fundamentals and apply that knowledge to host security modules and secret management procedures.
• Work with the team to identify, review and implement new or required safeguards for key generation systems as specified by the current standards.
• Continuously analyze risk assessments and recommend acceptable use of encryption technology and security measures
• Review, analyze and recommend the encryption methods and algorithms for data transmissions and data at rest to protect confidential information
• Maintain and follow accurate and up-to-date procedure documentation within well-established policies and guidelines.
• Constantly remain up to date on all data protection industry standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• Masters or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Math or related field, preferred.
• 5+ years of information technology industry experience
• 6+ years of applied cryptography experience
• Must be familiar with OWASP top ten understanding of vulnerability governance and reporting
• Working experience with Designing and Architecting PKIs
• Working experience with Designing and Architecting Secret Management solutions leveraging industry leading solutions like Hashicorp Vault, Google KMS and similar

• Working experience in API Security
• Fluent in scripting languages: Bash, Python, Java, .NET
• Understanding of multi-tiered architecture
• Experience with cloud security - Google Cloud preferred.
• Experience with code repository management platforms - GitHub, BitBucket
• Must be a team player with great interpersonal skills
