Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining existing products by building new functionality while ensuring the quality and excellence of our products. Embedded within an agile development team, you will work side by side with other Developers, QA, and Business Analysts You will write code using your specialized knowledge of coding techniques, tech stacks, and best practices, as well as your knowledge of technical architecture and design. In our highly collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to continually grow as an engineer and tester, and even help mentor others

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Experience developing cutting-edge solutions to maximize performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities
• Develop, test, build and deploy coding solutions for both existing legacy systems and net new development initiatives
• Proven understanding of enterprise-scale OOP software utilizing SaaS design principles
• Proven proficiency with departmental tools and procedures, i.e. TeamCity, Git, TFS, Jira, or equivalent
• Proficient with NoSQL and proven mastery of data structures
• Ability to lead technical efforts by coordinating the technical team members to align and ensure the integrity and quality of the final solution
• Ability to collaborate outside of the team to align and achieve expected outcomes
• Ability to identify and refactor areas of functional and architectural improvement

Qualifications

• 3-5 Yrs of relevant IT experience.
• Software development experience in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience in object-oriented analysis, microservice architecture, design patterns & programming, and writing effective unit test automation.
• Good understanding of software security practices
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills and passion for cutting edge technologies
• ASP .Net, C# and .Net Framework experience - design and programming with Visual Studio Professional
• Exposure to different technologies and stacks is a plus
• Experience in database modeling, relational and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, and techniques/tools such as MySQL, SQL, etc.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Experience with, or understanding of, Agile/Lean Software Development practices such as Kanban (preferable) or Scrum and TDD (Test-Driven Development)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Micro-service architectures
• Cloud technologies and techniques
• Familiar with event-sourced architecture and messaging queues
• Knowledge of testing automation frameworks
• CI/CD tools knowledge
