UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) is looking for a software developer to join its world class engineering team in Montreal for its latest Cloud platform: UKG Dimensions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experiencing developing quality cloud solutions. You will play a key role in the development of our SaaS offering, in a highly collaborative, agile environment.

UKG is looking for an experienced Software Quality Assurance Developer to join our world class engineering team in Montreal, Canada. The Successful candidate will be experienced in modern test methodologies and processes executed throughout the software development life cycle and have experience with Cloud practices. This candidate would be accountable for the quality of the product by developing and executing test strategies to ensure quality releases.

Your daily responsibilities:
• Ensuring proper functionality and performance of a wide variety of applications and platforms
• A demonstrated ability to deliver quality product releases on schedule using risk analysis and defect containment practices, test automation and continuous improvement initiatives are key to this position
• Responsible and accountable for the quality of the product for the project
• Setup/configure/maintain automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting
• Maintains and improves the testing lab and testing infrastructure (including tools, scripts, etc.)
• Help deploy and troubleshooting test environments.
• Collaborate with other QA team members and all members of the geographically dispersed team to ensure the appropriate implementation of functional requirements
• Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve bugs
• Work in team atmosphere to perform special testing activities when required
• Stays in touch with the software testing community and brings best industry practices into the team
• Continuously improve upon the productivity and efficiency of our automated testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques
• Setup/configure/maintain automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting
• Transform manual test documentation into robust, efficient automated test scripts
• Participate in elaboration of test documentation, execute tests, and monitor results using application lifecycle tools
• Review business and functional requirements documents in order to create appropriate test documentation
• Ability to describe UI behavior in terms of correct technical implementation and customer user scenarios

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree and 4+ years' experience in Software Quality Assurance (Java / Selenium) or other related discipline with direct involvement in automated testing of web applications
• Strong understanding of Microsoft, Linux (Bash), and n-tier web technologies
• Strong background in functional testing and software quality best practice
• Solid experience in defect management (creating, follow up and validation of defect report)
• Exposure to Protractor, Javascript, Eclipse, Jenkins, Linux, JIRA, HP ALM, HTML5
• Familiar with technologies like nginx, tomcat, postgresql, Jenkins
• Experience with version control tools (GIT, bitbucket)
• Practical knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes/VM/Jenkins
• Process-oriented with high attention to detail and good follow-through
• Experience with testing tools such as xUnit, Selenium, mocking frameworks, etc.
• Ability to write SQL Queries
• Familiarity with tools used to automate the deployment of an enterprise software solution to the cloud, Concourse, Ansible, etc.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Good experience in test management tools like ALM, JIRA
• Experience with Java, Python, etc. is a plus
