UKG is seeking a passionate Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to help our team define test strategies, develop and execute automated/manual test scripts, and help ensure the delivery of robust, high quality product releases.

Please note that this is a hybrid position - this role requires you to be in the office 2-3x per week, in any of our Corporate Office Locations - Weston FL, Atlanta GA, Alpharetta GA, Lowell MA

Qualifications

Position requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or applicable development work experience
• 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Engineer with basic coding skills in C#, or JavaScript to read and understand the code (not to write it)
• Experience with non-relational databases, (preferably MongoDB)
• Understanding of design and coding with an emphasis on building test automation and tools
• Understanding of test automation, test tool creation, automation frameworks
• Knowledge of full software development life cycle, QA methodology, tools and software testing standards
• Experience working in a cloud environment (SaaS, preferably GCP)
• Experience testing REST-based API preferably using REST Assured (2+ years)
• Experience with Git or version control tools
• Experience working in a Linux environment utilizing virtual machines
• Demonstrated creativity and initiative to improve test coverage and effectiveness and ability to troubleshoot in complex environments



Required Skills:
• Support design, development, and testing of enterprise availability and supportability platform.
• Develop and execute software test strategies and perform functional black box and white box, GUI, integration, system, and regression tests.
• Document formal test plans, protocols, and reports.
• Track and triage defects.
• Configure and validate software tools for product design, development, and testing.
• Maintain and improve continuous integration and testing environments.
• Support UAT testing
• Perform risk-based assessment, security testing and usability test.
• The ideal candidate would drive product quality by putting an emphasis on the growth of the quality mindset and testing best practices throughout the team.



Preferred / Desired Skills:
• Hands-on experience with UI Automation preferably using Selenium (2+ years)
• Hands-on experience writing unit tests with NUnit (2+ years)
• In-depth experience in testing large-scale, high-availability SaaS solutions in the cloud.
• Experience with Test Rails
• Experience with Docker
