UKG is currently seeking a customer focused, highly energetic, self-motivated and experienced individual to join our Payment Services Team as a Tax Filing Analyst I. The Tax Filing Analyst I role is a key role in the daily support of the Amendment team and is a key function in ensuring that production work streams are seamless. This role performs technical responsibilities including but not limited to collecting, analyzing and vetting pay data adjusting entries, ensuring the maintenance of quality, integrity and consistency of wage and tax information, creating & preparing appropriate amendment cases, conducting research and supporting internal and external customers in relation to amendment processing. The position will demand strong organizational, analytical skills and problem-solving expertise.Qualifications
Required Qualifications:2+ years of Payroll and/or Tax processing industry experience
Proficient in Excel and Word
Ability to negotiate positive resolutions with customers and payroll tax agencies
Proficient working with multiple systems and tools to perform job functions
Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment
Customer Service skills (e.g., setting and meeting expectations, care & empathy, follow up, etc.)
Good oral and written communication skills and above average administrative skills
Excellent analytical and follow up skills
Good time management skills in order to meet production and aging goals
Professionalism – demonstrated ability to interact professionally with others
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or a minimum of 2 years professional industry or business experience
General accounting knowledge
Demonstrated experience performing payroll tax reconciliations and analysis
Previous Customer service experience
Working knowledge of payroll tax quarterly and annual reconciliations
Physical Requirements: Primarily computer (e.g., typing, mouse) and phone work
Travel Requirements: Less than 5%
