Job Summary
As part of the Sales Support Organization, the primary target of the Value Engineering Consultant is to help the Account Executives to win new business. The Value Engineering Consultant supports the acquisition of new customers by aligning UKG solutions to the prospect’s high-level visions. This includes, but is not limited to, the preparation of a business case to proof how UKG will contribute to the execution on the prospect’s financial targets. By driving the engagement with the prospect away from being purely based on features and functions towards a more strategic discussion about high level objectives / the prospect’s vision, the Value Engineering Consultant enables a relationship with the prospect’s top level HR Executives.
To help develop upsell opportunities, the Value Engineering Consultant also takes responsibility to build and maintain good relationships with key existing customers to create demands relevant to the UKG product offering on the customer side.

Primary Duties:
• Engage in a deep dive discovery with multiple business lines (HR, IT, Finance, Legal/Data privacy) at strategic prospects as well as different departments within HR (SSC, Recruiting, Talent, People Analytics) to identify project initiatives, use cases, relevant KPIs, visions, processes, technologies/systems and key stakeholders
• Align the information obtained during discovery with UKG functionality, demonstrate fit/strategic requirement to use UKG solutions in order for the prospect to achieve high level goals / vision
• Collaborate with prospects to create a positive business case (including ROI calculations) based on sophisticated financial models
• Create a compelling storyline for the prospect’s C-Level executives to deliver all relevant aspects of the business case
• Develop Change Management strategies together with the prospect as part of the business case development to demonstrate how an actual realization of the expected value can be achieved
• Enhance the existing and develop new value engineering and value selling content in the context of UKG solutions benefits for customers
• Educate and enable the Sales- PreSales- and CSM- teams to leverage the developed value engineering framework to enhance their engagement with prospects and customers in less strategic opportunities, where there is no dedicate value engineering resource involved.

Qualifications

• Deep analytical skills for prospect and customer situations to be able to identify our solution fit and individual benefits
• High communication skills to align with the sales and presales teams internally as well as other stakeholders from marketing, legal or product
• Ability to engage with prospect management directly and position him/herself as valuable “partner” in the journey to decide for our solution.
• High confidence in customer meetings and able to deliver our HR experience with personal examples from the previous work-live experience (trusted advisor)
• Deep understanding of HR practices, processes, technologies and structures to be able to understand needs and identify gaps for our solution fit
• Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience within HR or HR related industries
• Deep tactical and strategical knowledge of HR and HR decision making
• Availability for travel 50% of the time
• English and German or Dutch are a must
