Description & Qualifications


• Handle events ranging up to 50+ per year with travel up to 50%
• Build strong peer relationships with all levels of internal management and staff, outside clients and vendors by interacting effectively
• Serve as liaison between primary event contact and production team
• Serves as an onsite planner for offsite events
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Proactive in problem solving or developing alternative resolutions
• Leads pre and post-event meetings for assigned groups to understand needs
• Identifies operational challenges associated with his/her group and works with the main group contact and production team to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions
• Manages team budgets to maximize saving and meet team goals
• Manages group room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups
• Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures.
• Accurately prioritizes work whenever possible and takes responsibility for quality of work
• With limited supervision, consistently and accurately complete assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to anticipate and resolve issues
• Interacts with teams to obtain feedback on quality and service levels
• Handles team problems and complaints
• Follows up with customer post-event
• Strives to improve service performance
• Coordinates and communicates verbally and in writing with team event details.
• Additional tasks may apply


• Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
• Advanced interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with stakeholders and employees within the organization
• Expert level written and verbal communication skills
• Highly resourceful team-player, with ability to pivot in order to be effective independently
• Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge of various software programs such as Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Concur, JIRA, Service Now and Cvent
• Travel logistics
• Flexible schedule (when needed) and ability to travel
• Prior contract, budgeting and planning experience are a strong plus

• College degree in Hospitality Management or related major and/or 3-5 years experience in event planning experience for small and large groups
• Certified Meeting Planner not required but a plus

Physical Requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and converse and exchange information. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position for long periods at a time. Employee will be required to move about inside office environments and operate computer machinery and software as needed.

Travel Requirement: 50% domestic
